I find hope in the darkest of days, and focus in the brightest. I do not judge the universe.
-Tenzin Gyatso, The 14th Dalai Lama
Hello and welcome to our family blog!
I started this blog to keep family and friends informed on our daughter, Kai's, condition.
Kai Nolyn Hollingsworth was born with a rare disease called Biliary Atresia, which causes liver failure. The only "cure" is a liver transplant. Kai's daddy, Ryan, donated 25% of his liver to her and saved her life, thanks to Georgetown University Hospital. She is beautiful and thriving today. You can learn more, or make a donation in Kai's name, by visiting some of the sites listed on our "links" page.
I just updated with all of my pregnancy blogs from my first pregnancy with Kai in 2007.
Now that Kai is doing so well, and with the expected arrival of our 2nd child, Reef Wallace Hollingsworth in Dec 2009, this has become our family blog. Please feel free to email me via the "contact" page or leave a comment in our guest book. We would love to hear from you!
I hope you enjoy!
Love,
Jasmine
